Your data stays home.

How Hearth treats privacy as an architecture, not a policy — and the exact legal story for what we collect when you join the waitlist.

How we think about privacy

Hearth does not phone home. There is no account, no telemetry, no remote kill switch, no subscription. Voice recognition runs on-device. Integrations run on-device. The only network connections Hearth makes are to the services you configure on your own network.

Everything the device can do is visible in the firmware, which is open source. You can read it, audit it, and run it yourself.

Privacy policy

Effective: [draft — replace with launch date]

What we collect from this site

  • Email address when you submit the waitlist or contact form. Stored in a self-hosted SQLite database on our server.
  • Aggregate, anonymous pageview analytics via self-hosted Umami at stats.hearth-home.io. No cookies, no IP storage, honors Do Not Track.
  • Server logs of HTTP requests (standard nginx access log) retained for 30 days for abuse diagnosis.

What we do with it

We use your email only to send you an update when Hearth is available to buy, and never for anything else. We do not share, sell, or transfer the list to any third party.

Retention

Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to remove them or until 18 months after launch, whichever comes first.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold by emailing privacy@hearth-home.io.
